This brew is a cultural gem of the Kashmiri tradition, locally called qehwa. This an uncommon liquor and yet bears a home like feeling from the valley. This green tea is blended with rich vibrant strands of the famous kashmiri saffron along with a mix of spices, nuts and rose. The taste is vegetal with sweet notes from rose and spice mix. The aroma will assail you to the blissful serenity of the valley.

    TASTE

    The Liquor shines owing to saffron with a mix of spices and the vegetal note from green tea that comes through the sweetness as it rolls in the mouth bearing hints of rose. It ends with a mixed note of traditional kahwa from the hills of Kashmir valley.

    Bright Golden Yellow.

    AROMA

    The aroma is blissful bearing saffron with a mix of spices that give a sweet note.

  • DRY LEAF

    The leaves bear a beautiful aroma of saffron with a mix of cardamom and clove that shines. The blend is mixed with well rolled long blackish green leaves along with cardamom, almond, clove, rose and saffron.

  • INFUSED LEAF

    The leaves bear aroma of saffron with spicy note of clove and cardamom and sweetness from cinnamon with distinct vegetal notes of green tea. The appearance consists of mainly olive green tea leaves with a mix of spices and rose petals.

FAQS

This brew is a cultural gem of the Kashmiri tradition, locally called qehwa. While it originates from Kashmir, the name kahwa comes from Arabic language. It is a humble green tea that is not brewed for more than 30 sec. It is brewed with cinnamon, cardamom, saffron, clove, rose petals and roasted almonds.

We recommend a certain temperature (80-85 C; 90-95 C) for the fresh oxygen rich filtered water to be boiled at the time of brewing the tea. This is only a guide and precision without a thermometer is challenging. You can simply boil and see for yourself. Boiling water is at 100 C, if you leave it for 30 sec it should be around 90-95 C, if you leave it for 40-45 sec it should be around 85-90 C and for 1 minute leave water at around 80-85 C.

Spoon measured the quantity of tea in the tea maker/pot. Pour boiled water (150 ML) over the tea leaves (2g). Steep for suggested time (3-4 minutes). Strain & sweeten as per choice. Pour it in a cup and enjoy the #PluckToCup experience.

We vacuum package our tea in High Barrier Aluminium Pouches to ensure freshness of the teas. We recommend that you store the teas in airtight container in a cool, dry and odour free place. This keeps it away from air, light and surrounding odour. Thereby ensuring longer shelf life and quality experience of the tea.

All our teas define pure tea experience that is unadulterated. We use only 100% natural ingredients to blend our teas and no artificial flavours and enhancers are added to the tea. 

Our teas can be used from 18 to 24 months from the date of manufacturing. However, teas once opened have to be stored in airtight containers to keep it away from moisture, dirt and odour.
